Welcome to Taroandti.com. This site is about Chocolate – primarily my attempts to grow it. Of all the exotics I cultivate, Chocolate has to be one of the most finicky – but it’s worth the trouble. There’s just something about the idea that in a few years you could be seeing your own cacao pods hanging from the tree, all ready to be harvested, slightly fermented, dried, roasted, shelled and crushed with a bit of sugar into some rough but tasty chocolate.
I’ll document my attempts to grow this tree and keep a rolling blog on future developments as I learn more about this fascinating tree.
